โ € โ“Do you read comics or graphic novels?
โ €
๐Ÿ’กGraphic novels contain complete narratives, whether or not they are part of a larger series. Whereas, comic books contain excerpts of serialized narratives. I love them both! I recently got this stack in the mail:
โ €
๐Ÿ“š Strange Fruit, Volume II: More Uncelebrated Narratives from Black History
by Joel Christian Gill
โ €
๐Ÿ“š Encyclopedia of Black Comics
by Christopher Priest and Sheena Howard
โ €
๐Ÿ“š Be The Artist: The Interactive Guide to a Lasting Art Career
by Thomas Evans
โ €
๐Ÿ“š Bessie Stringfield: Tales of the Talented Tenth, No. 2

โœจThank you @fulcrumpublishing for gifting these books! As a fan of graphic novels who find it difficult to find people who look like me in the pages, I am delighted to spotlight these picks.

โœจI started reading Strange Fruit this morning and was tickled with the short story of the freed manโ€™s response employment rejection letter to his former slave master. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I can only image how the other tales will go! Iโ€™m definitely reading these all weekend!
