Years from now when I reflect on 2020, my bookshelf will tell my story.Β  This is the year all THE TRAVELERS mourned and the viral STORM shutdown AMERICANAH. Β WITH THIS RING I got engaged and my people of color were reminded that BEING BLACK is a crime punishable by death, because NO ONE IS COMING TO SAVE US. β €

This is the year I vowed to read only diverse books emphasizing THE MAKING OF AFRICAN AMERICAN, OBVIOUSLY, because ALL THE THINGS WE NEVER KNEW is not ignorant bliss.Β  Bring that REVOLUTIONARY SUICIDE as I AM THE DARKER BROTHER, or sister should gender matter!?! I must learn from my ROOTS, although I embrace being BLACK, WHITE, AND JEWISH, the world still views me as a N*GGER.

I digress, you see reading is HOW WE FIGHT FOR OUR LIVES. Education is key. I remind myself that this is REAL LIFE, as I pursue my degree. My people came UP FROM SLAVERY today learning, book by book, chapter by page, and word by sentence HOW TO BE AN ANTIRACIST by DAWN tomorrow.Β  THE BLACK GOD’S DRUMS are CALLING MY NAME and EVERY TONGUE GOT TO CONFESS that HOPE IS OUR ONLY WING.
